ROBOT DISASTER:
With a bounce in their step, awesome beats in their music and a simple desire to create music with base and soul, Robot Disaster are determined to keep our musical senses buzzing and our feet dancing! With fresh eyes and ears, a youthful hunger for music and an eclectic taste of influences including everything from indie to hip hop and electro house to grime, this five piece from the Midlands are on the Converse Music radar with their latest musical creation in the form of ‘Boy’ (produced by Sean Genockey of Baddies, Ash, Manic Street Preachers). A crisp but intense pace hypnotizes you from start to finish, Meaty guitar rifts then lift it up and make you start to get that dancing itch and finally with big smack-you-round-the-chops vocals a punching chorus kicks in. The Result…an upbeat, catchy, youthful yet intense track that lifts you up and takes you right through till the end, when even after the last beat has dropped you are still left dancing. Head over to the B side of this release and you’ll also find ‘Paint The Town’ another rousing track that takes you on a journey through a moment in misspent youth and again showcases the bands signature sound and talent for producing get-up and-dance tracks with lyrics that capture a time, place and feeling.
While still relatively young, these guys are nailing their own signature sound. Having already played alongside the likes of Calvin Harris, We Have Band, Late of the Pier and Dan Le Sac to name a few, Robot Disaster are on a schizophrenic musical mission to keep us dancing from dusk to dawn…and they look set to conquer.
