17th June Memphis Industries Night at The Borderline (with The Equations), London
Post-punk pop princess Theoretical Girl released her new single “rivals’ on the 1st of June and having received great reviews on her debut…we at converse music are intrigued at what she has to offer this time round. Taking inspiration from a diverse source of sounds expect to here a mix of 60s girl groups, ESG, and even a touch of the classic twee pop of Sarah Records. Her DIY roots is clearly shown through her hands on approach to making music, so when she’s not multi-tasking on bass, keys, guitar and vocals she’s arranging and scoring the strings, resulting in music that is both delicate and danceable.
Amy has just finished recording her debut album, which is set for release later this summer, and we look forward to hearing more of what she has to offer.
